General Information

Check-in: From 3:00 PM. Arriving early? Feel free to walk in. If your room is ready, we’ll gladly welcome you in right away. If not, we’ll share some tips about the city and safely store your luggage while you head out to explore.
Check-out: Until 11:00 AM. Fancy a bit more sleep? Late check-out is possible for €25, depending on availability — just let the front desk know.
Breakfast: For €21 p.p., we serve a fresh, locally-sourced breakfast at your table. Available from 7:00 to 10:00 AM. Let us know your preference at the reception. No time or appetite? We’ve got a tasty to-go option at the front desk.
All day bite: Don’t feel like heading out again? Our salon offers a small menu with comforting dishes — perfect for a late arrival or lazy lunch.
Shared spaces: You’re welcome to enjoy our salon or garden all day long. Bring a book or explore our games cupboard for a bit of fun.
Morning joy: In the mood for a tea or coffee? Brew one in your room or stop by the salon — the machine’s always on (and so is the vibe).
Housekeeping: Your room is cleaned every three days — just like in a well-run home. Prefer to relax undisturbed? Let us know at the front desk.
Transport: Need a taxi? We’re happy to arrange one for you. A ride to Schiphol is €69 and usually arrives within 10 minutes. Prefer to explore on two wheels? Rent one of our bikes and discover Utrecht at its best. Ask the front desk for availability and pricing.
Parking: Malie House has a few parking spots along the Maliebaan (walking distance). Parking is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival until 12:00 PM on the day of departure — subject to availability. Cost: €… per night.
No space? Parking Kruisstraat is a great alternative, just 8 minutes on foot.
Public transport: From Utrecht Central Station, hop on bus 77 or 50. You’ll be with us in no time.
Ironing: Is your outfit wrinkled after traveling? We've got you. Ask reception for an iron and board.
Care with a story: In your bathroom, you’ll find our Atelier Rebul care products — luxurious, nourishing, and eco-friendly. No animal testing, no unnecessary stuff, just a scent you might want to take home with you.
Reception: Whether it’s a wake-up call, a doctor, an adapter or the best neighborhood tips — the reception is your go-to. Available 24/7, always with a smile.

In Case of Fire or Other Emergencies
We hope your stay with us goes smoothly — but safety always comes first. In the event of a fire or emergency:

Stay calm.
Break the fire alarm and call reception immediately at 030 233 0033.
Keep windows and doors closed.
If the general fire alarm sounds: leave the building using the marked escape routes and gather across the street. Our team will provide further instructions.
Never use the elevator — always take the stairs.
Follow all instructions from emergency personnel and our staff.
In case of emergency, the Dutch national emergency number is 112.
Please note: if a false alarm is triggered, a €250 fee may be charged to cover the costs — not fun, but necessary.

👁‍🗨 For your safety, there are various sensors throughout the hotel. On your room door, you’ll find a map showing the nearest emergency exit, clearly marked with green signs and emergency lighting.

House Rules

All guests must present valid identification upon check-in.
Each travel group must include at least one guest aged 18 or older. Travelling with minors? Written permission from a parent or guardian is required.
Privacy: We respect your privacy, but we reserve the right to enter the room in case of house rule violations.
Security: CCTV cameras are present in public areas. By staying at Malie House, you consent to recordings. These will only be shared with authorities in case of incidents.
Lost & Found: Please hand in any found items at reception. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for loss or theft.
Liability: The management and staff of Malie House are not responsible for injury or damage during your stay.

Please also note the following is not allowed at Malie House:

Any form of verbal abuse, discrimination, threats, violence, or sexual intimidation.
Using emergency exits for anything other than emergencies.
Removing or damaging hotel property — guests are responsible for repair or replacement costs.
Lighting candles in rooms (as lovely as it sounds, it's too risky).
Drugs, weapons, or related activity of any kind.
Causing disturbances to other guests.
Exceeding the room's guest limit — in this case, we reserve the right to ask you to leave.
Receiving paid visitors for sexual services.
Organising photo shoots without prior approval.
Smoking anywhere inside — including out the window or in the bathroom. A €250 cleaning fee will apply if this rule is broken.
Pets are not allowed in the hotel, garden, or salon — as much as we love them.

Technical Information

Wi-Fi – Free and unlimited. Connect to our network: MalieHouse | Welcom@Home and stay comfortably online.
TV? – You won’t find one here. We believe in quality time, good rest, and real connection — not channel surfing.
Air conditioning – Feeling warm? Flip the top switch to the left, the bottom switch to the right (sun icon), and use the middle switch to adjust the fan speed. The round dial should stay on the bold lines. Need help? Just let us know — we’re happy to assist!
Heating – Feeling chilly? Use the thermostat next to the air unit to adjust the temperature. If it says ‘off’, press and hold the button for a few seconds until it turns on. You can also adjust the radiator manually for extra warmth.
